Prescribed Fire Presentation - Cow Creek Watershed Conservation Series
Description
After the presentation, there will be an informal “Walk & Talk” with a biologist to demonstrate how the refuge staff has addressed some of the concepts discussed. Please plan accordingly and wear appropriate footwear.
This event is part of the continuing conservation speaker series co-hosted by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the Friends of Balcones Canyonlands NWR.
The event is free and open to the public.
What is the purpose of the Landowner Conservation Speaker Series?
Conservation works best on a landscape level. After all, wildlife, plants, and water move across the Hill Country without recognizing property boundaries. Lessons learned from conservation work being done on the refuge and by our partners will be used to invite private landowners to play an important role in our shared conservation heritage.
Learn about how you can use these insights to benefit your land while contributing to a larger conservation landscape that supports both people and wildlife.
